- Reapplication of the Convention by Germany : The German Democratic Republic declared the reapplication of the Convention as from 7 April 1958. The Federal Republic of Germany replied that, in relations between the two Germanys, this effect does not extend beyond 21 June 1973. The German Democratic Republic asserted its right to determine the date of reapplication of the Convention.
